Festive Conclusion of the Creative and Craft Workshops#

On Sunday, 22 October 2023, we celebrated the festive conclusion of the Creative and Craft Workshops held in the Düsseldorf parish starting 19 October 2023.

Over three days, the participating children and teenagers created glass icons and a church model, which they displayed on Sunday after the Divine Liturgy.

The project was carried out with the support of the Department for Romanians Abroad and the Düsseldorf parish, coordinated by Mrs. Adina Popescu.

Each day of the project was a day of fellowship and boundless joy, eagerly awaited by the participants and by the parents who brought them from far away to enjoy the workshops. Beyond the tangible creations, the children entered the world of spiritual meaning, the spirit of communion, and understood that Romanian identity is built on uplifting values.

The workshops took place under the expert guidance of Nicoleta and Sorin Suciu, who introduced the children to painting and sculpting techniques.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy on 22 October 2023, the whole team presented the project results—the icons, the model, and especially the joy kept in their hearts.

The Romanian Teachers Association in NRW awarded an honorary diploma to Nicoleta and Sorin Suciu for more than a decade of work with children in Romania and in the diaspora in support of Romanian traditional values.

The event concluded with the exhibition and with a song that recalled the joy of childhood and of the pure Romanian soul.

We thank everyone involved in this project, which once again showed that to educate a beautiful soul, you need occasions that inspire beautiful works.
