First Confession#

On Sunday, 19 April 2026, the celebratory event “First Confession” took place at the Düsseldorf parish.

Children who had reached seven years of age attended the Sunday School catechism classes and confessed for the first time this year. They also took part in a festive closing of the catechetical program “First Confession,” dedicated this year to the 16 holy women recently canonized by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

After sharing moving testimonies about the beauty of our Orthodox faith inspired by the words of the 16 holy Romanian women, the children received a “First Confession” certificate and a gift from the parish.

The event was lovingly prepared by teachers Anișoara and Nicu Aanicăi, together with teacher Miruna Sandu, who created the event decorations.

The celebration brought special joy both to the families of the participating children and to the whole community, and highlighted the importance of honoring the holy women gifted to the Romanian people by God.
