On Thursday, 14 December 2017, the Greek Orthodox Church in Düsseldorf hosted a new session of the Orthodox Pastoral Conference, which includes all Orthodox communities in the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The meeting, chaired by Fr. Danilo Radmilovic, parish priest of the Serbian Orthodox community in Düsseldorf, included reports on the activity of the local Orthodox communities and planning for the 2018 events.
The pressing issue of lacking a dedicated worship space, which affects some Orthodox communities, was discussed, as well as matters related to Orthodox religious education, to which Orthodox children are legally entitled upon written request from their parents.
It was decided to concelebrate the Sacrament of Holy Unction on 14 March 2018 at the Greek Orthodox parish, and to concelebrate the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Resurrection on 21 April 2018 at the Orthodox parish “St. Nicholas,” Werstener Feld 65.
At the end of the meeting, Fr. Danilo Radmilovic conveyed best wishes to all for the Feast of the Nativity of the Lord and the New Year.
