Romanian Teachers Association in NRW Supports the D\xfcsseldorf Parish Sunday School

Starting this year, the Sunday School of the “Sfânta Treime” and “Sfântul Nicolae” Romanian Orthodox Parish in Düsseldorf will benefit from strong support from the Romanian Teachers Association in NRW.

Beginning in February 2025, the Sunday School will draw on the expertise and skills of a wider group of teachers with outstanding pedagogical experience, all members of the Romanian Teachers Association in NRW.

The Sunday School includes three learning groups:

  • Kindergarten Group: for children aged 3 up to primary school, focusing on socialization in a setting that motivates them to acquire basic Romanian language and Orthodox faith. Coordinators: Tatiana Chelaru and Nicu Aanicăi, both with extensive preschool experience.
  • Primary Group: for primary-school children, aimed at socialization and helping them acquire fundamental Romanian language and Orthodox faith knowledge. Led by teacher Anișoara Aanicăi and teacher Ioana Pașca, who bring rich experience to this work.
  • Secondary/High School Group: for students from fifth grade onward who want to deepen fundamental Romanian language and Orthodox faith. They will benefit from the pedagogical experience of teachers Georgiana Bose and Simona Pop, supported on certain projects by teacher Miruna Sandu.

Alongside the weekly classes held in each group, the Düsseldorf Sunday School program includes artistic events, creative and general knowledge contests, and other projects born of the close collaboration between the Romanian Teachers Association in NRW and the “Sfânta Treime” / “Sfântul Nicolae” Romanian Orthodox Parish in Düsseldorf—a collaboration already bearing visible fruit.

We thank the Romanian Teachers Association in NRW for the excellent collaboration and the spirit of sacrifice shown through their tireless social commitment.
