“The Crown of Romania” – Historic Premiere in Düsseldorf#

On Friday, 6 June 2025, the Düsseldorf parish hosted the screening of the documentary “The Crown of Romania,” directed by George Grigoriu.

The documentary brought to light bright moments in Romanian history and showed that the sacrifice of a faithful people is never lost and that a nation’s dreams one day become an overwhelming reality.

It was the first screening of a Romanian-language film in the history of the UFA PALAST cinema in Düsseldorf—an absolute premiere.

The large turnout and sense of fellowship showed our joy in our shared Romanian identity and the bonds of a language and faith that carry the strength of our ancestors’ hardships—and especially their joys.

It was an evening reminding us that we become shapers of the future only when we know our past and honor it properly.

We thank director George Grigoriu and his team, as well as Anca Neuhoff and Ruxandra Grou, for organizing the event.
