Between 6–9 December 2019, Lecturer Deacon Dr. Adrian Sorin Mihalache delivered a series of conferences in the deanery of North Rhine-Westphalia.
On the occasion of the Düsseldorf parish’s second patronal feast, Friday, 6 December 2019, on St. Nicholas Day, the professor gave the conference “The Noise of the World and the Quiet of the Spiritual Life,” extensively presenting how the sounds and pressures of today’s society affect spiritual life.
On Saturday, 7 December 2019, Deacon Adrian Sorin Mihalache offered the Düsseldorf parishioners an experiential workshop on attention. The workshop provided a complex reflection on the meaning of attention and how it can enhance a person’s quality of life in many aspects. For ten hours, participants engaged in practical activities that deepened their understanding of the importance of attention in daily and spiritual life.
On Sunday, 8 December 2019, Deacon Adrian Sorin Mihalache participated in the Divine Liturgy in the Düsseldorf parish and gave a special homily at the end of the service. He then rejoiced together with everyone present at the traditional St. Nicholas celebration that the children of the Düsseldorf parish organize each year for the second patronal feast.
The high academic caliber of his conferences, his deep preparation, his remarkable pedagogical talent, and his personality made his visit a joy and a great spiritual gain for all who met and heard him.
