$National Day in the D\xfcsseldorf Parish$

1 December 2023 was a unique moment for the Düsseldorf parish. For the first time, Romania’s National Day was organized in collaboration with the Romanian Doctors Association in NRW and the Romanian Teachers Association in NRW.

Together with the two associations, a special program was prepared for the National Day, consisting of artistic moments and brief speeches.

The event began with the Te Deum. Before the artistic program, Protopresbyter Dr. Iosif-Cristian Rădulescu, parish priest of the Romanian Orthodox community in Düsseldorf, Dr. Dumitrița Gafencu, spokesperson of the Romanian Doctors Association in NRW, and Prof. Simona Ilea Pop, vice president of the Romanian Teachers Association in NRW, addressed the audience.

History teacher Paul Bagiu delivered a talk on the historical significance and effects of the 1 December 1918 union, and artist Maria-Luiza Antonescu offered special musical moments alongside Dr. Iulian Iordache, who recited verses rich in symbolism.

The gathering ended with a reception in honor of the National Day and remains a milestone for this occasion.
