Temptations and Spiritual Growth#

On Sunday, 23 November 2025, the Düsseldorf parish was blessed with a special spiritual conference on “Temptations and Spiritual Growth,” given by Father Nil Lazarenco from the “Saint Spyridon” Skete in Geilnau. Hieromonk Father Nil shared with the participants key insights about the daily temptations faced by Christians. He also answered questions that explored Christian responsibility both within the family and in today’s society.

Father Nil reminded everyone that temptations help us grow spiritually when we overcome them through prayer, fasting, the Holy Mysteries, and obedience to God’s commandments.
